Rossland, British Columbia
Experience mountain culture
Rossland is the real deal. This town has no theme park vibe and no false pretenses because we’ve been here golfing, skiing and enjoying the mountains for over 100 years. Don’t come to Rossland looking for urban style perfection. Things here have acquired a comfortable patina and charm that can’t be replicated without the luxury of time. Nothing is over developed, and we love it that way. It is Kootenay style and that is perfect!
World renowned Red Mountain, one of the oldest ski areas in North America (yeah, we did that!) is 5 minutes away. Some people even ski or board home at the end of the day, it is that close. The creation of the town and the history of skiing in Rossland are intertwined. From the miners in the 1890’s who explored the peaks on long wooden skis to the installation of the first chair in 1949 the two evolved with the same gritty attitude. Red is independent and underrated and wears that badge with pride.
This is a genuine town with multi generational families and neighbours who have your back.
